Jason had never been camping before and I'm only a sophmore. But our first round of boyscout camping was quite enjoyable. We went to Camp Wisdom just south of Dallas last Friday night thru Sunday at noon.
When we got there, Jason wanted to explore the grounds and find our campsite by foot. I didn't know he likes to run so, so much. After about 1.5 miles of jogging around exploring many campsites, we smelt BBQ and heard voices and entered the woods to find our pack.
Here is our campsite
Jason's favorite activity was helping the other boys build a fort. Well, OK, his favorite activity was eating smores, but he could well have spent the entire weekend building forts and been very happy.
But there were plenty of other activities. Camp Wisdom has many camping sites with themes like castles, Sherwood Forest, etc. Austin and Jason explored the pirate vs scout ship battle site together.
Many of the boys couldn't wait to explore the "mountain cave" campsite. Mathis and Jason lead the pack over after fishing.
And of course in addition to the camp sites, there was shooting, fishing, and playing around to be done. Thanks Nathan for teaching Jason how to fish!
